The Invitation

Learning to live after loss is a blog for anyone who has suffered the sting of death and is struggling to find their way to learn how to live again. And it is also for those who desire to help those who are suffering with grief. 

As long as there is pain and suffering in the world, there is a need for us to tell our stories. And this is mine. It is conversational in its tone, like I am talking to a friend, because I am. 

I recognize there are no cheap answers to grief by offering a raw and honest look at the misery of pain and suffering that proceeds great loss.  

I invite you to come on this journey with me to consider hard questions about survival through unexpected realizations about God, life, and love. 

I will show you how I learned to stay out of the pit of despair that called to me without warning. 

• My faith was tested. 
• God’s grace proved to be sufficient.  
• I discovered joy and sorrow can coexist through the rhythms of grief. 
• I learned to live a life of gratitude and love. 
• I held onto the blessed hope of being reunited with my loved ones for all eternity. 

My Prayer

It is my sincere prayer to resonate with you as a reader and instill real courage in your backbone. As you learn to live after loss, may you come to realize you are not alone and emerge stronger than you ever thought possible.
